Shatekon Elementary PTA

2011-2012 Officers
President Tami Grasso
Vice President Michelle Lehman
Treasurer Christa Miliani
Secretary Julie Dunkleberger
I am very proud to say we have some new faces on the board this year. We have a lot of open committees as well. I personally love being involved with the PTA and the school. It is a great way to close the home-school circle. We all need to work hand and hand to help our children grown and learn. Please consider joining the PTA and volunteering your time. There are many ways to help out - whether you want to make photo copies, help organize movies night, bowling outings or run the school book fair, we would LOVE to have you!

The PTA organizes this program under the theory that enrichment is for everyone. To teach these programs, we are bringing in knowledgeable instructors from all over the Capital District and Shatekon parent volunteers. The PTA makes no profit from these enrichment programs. We feel that we have an exciting program planned. Anyone with questions about the program or registration should call Stacie Walker at 348-0493, e-mail cwalker1@nycap.rr.com.

The Mission of the PTA

  • To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;
  • To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children;
  • To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.
