As a student in the Class of 2012, you
began earning senior privileges during the last quarter of your
junior year. Eligibility requirements for senior privileges in
September 2011 are based on academics, effort and conduct in
class, attendance, behavior, and reconciliation of all financial
obligations to the school. You are expected to satisfy each of the
following criteria to qualify for senior privileges:
1. Academics – earned a passing grade for all classes during the
4th quarter and/or for the semester or year.
2. Effort and Conduct in Class – A minimum of a 3 is required in
effort and/or conduct in all course during the 4th quarter
3. Attendance – Students are expected to attend and be on time to
school and all classes. If you exceeded the following criteria you
are inlegible to earn Senior Privileges. IV, do not exceed:
• 5 unexcused tardies to school per quarter
• 5 unexcused tardies to classes (HR through Period 9) per quarter
In addition, unexcused absences from school or class will be
viewed as being truant or cutting class.
4. Student Code of Conduct - Students are expected to exhibit
school citizenship by complying with school expectations. If you
were in violation of the Code of Conduct in the following areas,
you will not be eligible to earn Senior Privileges.
• Cutting Class
• Committed a level II, III, or IV infraction
5. Financial Obligations to School – All financial obligations to
the school must be reconciled, including book fines, overdue
library books, and any other fees or fines owed to the school.
If you are eligible for senior privileges, you will receive a
letter at the end of July inviting you to apply for senior
privileges. Senior privileges will be reviewed every 5 weeks
during the 2011-12 school year. Once a student has earned his/her
senior privileges, he/she may be restricted at any time for
violating the above criteria. Please contact Mr. Heckman or Mr.
Smith if you have questions concerning your eligibility for senior
privileges.
