As the cornerstone of the CAPTAIN Youth Development Program, the Teen Activity Board (TAB) promotes the development of leadership, self-esteem, strong character and citizenship by providing teens with the opportunity to implement community service and fundraising activities. While CAPTAIN provides adult supervision for activities, TAB is run by a youth Executive Board who are leaders among their peers. Twin Rivers Council, Boy Scouts of America
In Cub Scouting, boys and their families have fun and adventure in a program that builds character and instills values. Cub Scouting embraces the values of citizenship, compassion, cooperation, courage, faith, health and fitness, honesty, perseverance, positive attitude, resourcefulness, respect, and responsibility. These values come to boys in all parts of the Cub Scout program—all while they're having a great time with their friends and families.  Cub Scouting is a year-round family-oriented part of the BSA program designed for boys who are in first through fifth grades (or are 7, 8, 9, and 10 years of age). Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the 10 purposes of Cub Scouting:
  1. Character Development
  2. Spiritual Growth
  3. Good Citizenship
  4. Sportsmanship and Fitness
  5. Family Understanding
  1. Respectful Relationships
  2. Personal Achievement
  3. Friendly Service
  4. Fun and Adventure
  5. Preparation for Boy Scouts

All the activities leaders plan and boys enjoy should relate to one or more of these purposes. These purposes help us achieve the overall aims of the BSA of character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness.  To locate a Cub Scout Pack near you please visit, www.joincubscouting.org, or call us at 869-6436 ext. 28.
